Live Music

The Icelandic music scene is enormously vibrant and productive, burgeoning well beyond those internationally recognised stars Björk, Sigur Rós, Of Monsters and Men and Asgeir, with numerous bands following in their footsteps, including Vök, Mammút, JFDR and Agent Fresco.

Each November, the Airwaves festival features the best of all the local bands, as well as internationally acclaimed artists, in a five day jamboree of sets played in a multitude of downtown locations, all within minutes of each other.

Grapevine is your indispensable guide to all the live events taking place here every night of the week, at a number of downtown venues, available both as an app and as a free listings magazine. Check it out for the latest news.
